Watch out for the bums though, they like to stick back.

Have you gotten to eat any semi-still alive sushi yet? What's the funkiest thing you've eaten so far?Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00998076950607534127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2134882445280852704.post-65589398301204708232007-10-10T17:38:00.000-07:002007-10-10T17:38:00.000-07:00Pick Me! Whiiiiite sand!

Thank you for the Pi-ish moment of sea and sky and celestial celebration!

If I'd had a stick on Moloka'i, I would have been pokin' me some eel, you betcha. Sadly, all I could do was temp him from his hole with little stinky leftover squid baits.

The Shins played here last night at Celebrity Theater. There's really nothing like a venue with a rotating stage! Oh, it was such fun! And the crowd was riotous - clapping would start on one side of the theater and stampede around the whole place until we were all thumping in time. lub dub lub dub, one gargantuan heart beating the beat of the indie few... Tonight I'm meeting Rebecca and a friend of hers for Rilo Kiley. Marquee seems like such a pale place in comparison. Charlie took us backstage there before the Peter Bjorn and John concert... not much to see beyond some crumbling insulation and tacky mismatched furniture.

Do you guys have any music in your lives out there in the wild islands? I imagine it peeks in on you when you're out and about and you don't even notice. Or maybe it's just quiet, and everyone shushes around their daily routine to the rasp of the wind and wash of the surf... or the mechanical grind of the boat motor, however the case may be.

love you!
BridgeUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02032562922185567171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2134882445280852704.post-72777781918007231952007-10-03T07:04:00.000-07:002007-10-03T07:04:00.000-07:00Hi Joe and Mia,This looks like an incredible trip,...Hi Joe and Mia,
This looks like an incredible trip, adventure- very cool living on the boat and all you are doing! Alonso will love the stuff about poke it with a stick, because he does that as well.
Personally, I am reminded of the zoo school motto "leave wild animals alone". remember chanting that with call and response from the zoo captain?! Jason would like poking with a stick as well, but now he stalks and observes wild animals for his regular job. Funny how it goes.
Kee up the blogs, they are a wonderful way to travel vicariously with you! You both look very happy!
love to you both,
MomAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01780259859991730720noreply@blogger.com
